When our body becomes attacked by damaging factors such as pollution or sunrays the body naturally produces free radicals. Free radicals are oxygen molecules without an electron. These molecules move around the body and take the electrons from the healthy cells and then kill it. This whole process is damaging to the body and often accelerates the aging process. By using anti-oxidants you provide an electron for the free radicals to attack and stop them from damaging your healthy cells. This is how anti-oxidants can help to protect your body from the aging process.

Anti-oxidants can be found in vitamins such as Vitamin C and Vitamin E. You can also get the from certain foods that have Beta-carotene which is a type of Vitamin A that is an excellent anti-oxidant. This is why carrots are an excellent anti-oxidant to help fight the aging process.

Vitamin supplements can also be helpful. However, with some supplements you will need to take them under a doctors advice since some can be harmful in high doses. Selenium is a good anti-oxidant as well as copper peptide. A few of these vitamins can also be found in topical creams to help keep your skin looking young. Always choose the right product that matches your skin time and talk with your doctor is you are unsure what product to use or if you feel you are experiencing side effects from the product.

An important part of this is to not rush your meals. If you rush your body does not digest properly which can lead to premature aging.

Recreation is a third tactic. Always try to find small periods of time where you can just take a break and relax. Always try to find something to laugh about since this will improve you mood.

Last is your appearance. Just changing your hair style or wardrobe every once in a while will help the anti-aging process. Hair color and clothes can be found that will help you look younger. The younger you look the better your motivation to help the anti-aging process through the inside.
